DeleteThis him!! This is Leo!!! My grandmother gave me when I was born!!! He was my favorite plush growing and even came with me in to adulthood!! We lost every thing in a house fire 6 years ago and he was a casualty. I've thought of him often and wished to find one in a thrift bin or yard sale with no luck. I've now gone to find him online. I would love to buy one!!!

I remember crying for 2 weeks solid and driving all the way back to the holiday resort to try and find him. I still think about him frequently. Please could you let me know if you come across one. I'd give anything to be reunited with him x

DeleteI am 34 and have had this lion since I was a baby! My parents got it in London when I was a baby. We moved to Australia and my grandmother in London posted over 2 more for me. They were so loved they were rags barely held together! Eventually my grandmother was unable to find them, it was 1997 and they were released around 1987 so becoming harder to find. I had also lost one on a holiday in California. I was very upset! One Sunday my parents took me to a local market and I had $2 from the tooth fairy; amazingly one of these lions was sitting in a pile of pre-loved soft toys for $2. My dad still loves telling that story!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was 21 my parents gifted me a brand new playskool snuzzles lion, brand new in box!!! It cost a fortune, it was around $700 with shipping lol. I had a baby at 30 and gave the lion to her. Though she isn’t all that interested and it’s in her wardrobe. She calls it mummies doggie (I call it Goggie)
Anyway, most people who had this little lion are very fond of it. I loved its mane! It got nice and crispy when I left it un the hot car in summer! I liked rubbing the satin between my fingers. I wonder if others liked that. And the little satin tail loops!
Sorry for the long post, this little guy has been a big part of my life. I even had some birthday cakes of it and one for my 21st of this lion!
Thank you for sharing your story, we love it.
DeleteThank you! It’s such a special lion! Maybe some folks searching for this lion may find it relatable. He really has a special place in my heart forever!
