The History of Plushies and How They've Taken Over the World

It started with a simple stuffed animal, a teddy bear to be precise. But soon, the teddy bear was joined by an army of other stuffed animals, all with different shapes, sizes, and colors. These "plushies" as they came to be known, took over the world, becoming one of the most popular toys among children and adults alike.

But where did plushies come from? And how did they become so popular?

Stuffed animal was created in 1870 by a German woman named Margarete Steiff. Steiff created a small elephant out of mohair-covered felt and it was an instant hit. Steiff went on to create many other animals, and her company is still in business today.

Teddy, where are you?

I can't find my teddy! It is a common complaint among young children. The search for a lost teddy can be a frustrating and emotional experience for both the child and the parents. There are a few things that you can do to help your child find their teddy and to make the experience less stressful. First, try to remain calm and help your child to focus on the task at hand. Help them to take a few deep breaths and to think about the last time they saw their teddy. Next, search the obvious places first. This includes all of the places that your child normally plays and keeps their toys. Once you have searched all of the obvious places, you can move on to less likely locations. If you still can't find the teddy, consider asking your child to draw a picture of their teddy or to describe it in detail. This can help you to discover clues that you may have missed. Finally, don't give up! A lost teddy is often found. However I am available to adoption if interested.

Vintage 1980 Winnie the Pooh Crib Blanket

1980’s Sears brand of receiving blankets and crib blankets (100 acre forest, and Winnie the Pooh floating with balloons seem to be the two prints that were in the collection). Some have the satin, some didn’t. The ones without the satin trim are the exact same material, and can have satin trim added.
